Merlin Entertainments, the global powerhouse of branded entertainment experiences such as Madame Tussauds Orlando and LEGOLAND Florida, recently unveiled an exciting project – “Adventures Made Real” – its latest global initiative in partnership with Mojang Studios, developers of Minecraft, the all-time best-selling video game. This groundbreaking collaboration is set to transform the world of Minecraft into a tangible reality at various permanent locations worldwide. The project promises the creation of innovative ways to delve into the physical Minecraft realm, featuring real-world experiences and interactive attractions.

Merlin is set to pour over $110 million into the initial pair of attractions, scheduled for launch in the US and the UK from 2026 to 2027. This hefty investment encompasses the creation of unique Minecraft-themed concepts in guest lodging, retail, and culinary services. Visitors at Merlin’s selected parks in these two destinations can look forward to thrilling experiences, such as a Minecraft-themed ride. Merlin plans to extend these engaging experiences to other global destinations in the future as well.

No word yet on whether Merlin‘s exciting new US expansion will launch at LEGOLAND Florida or elsewhere, though it seems like a perfect addition to compete with Universal Orlando Resort’s Epic Universe: Super Nintendo World opening in May of 2025.
