The Daytona Area Beaches have been a popular destination for visitors since it became World Famous for the first automobile and motorcycle races dating back to 1902. Today, beach goers are still able to enjoy the timeless classic fun of driving on the beach. Daytona Beach remains one of the only beaches where driving on the beach is permitted. The Daytona Beaches are located in Volusia County and the 23 miles of beaches include Ormond Beach, Daytona Beach, Daytona Beach Shores, Port Orange, New Smyrna Beach and Edgewater. Along the shoreline, there are many entertainment venues, restaurants, restrooms, public access ramps, and parking available. Many of the beaches are wheel chair accessible.
