At Frederick Douglass Park Beach, visitors can enjoy one of the only beaches in Florida where you can ride a horse on the beach; bring your own horse or take a tour! Normandy Beach was named for the World War Two military training that took place in the area and is now a perfect, secluded beach for a day of unwinding. At Fort Pierce Inlet State Park, surfers from all over the state visit for the awesome waves rolling in from the Atlantic Ocean.
